School Neuropsychological Evaluation
A school neuropsychological evaluation looks closely at the brain-based skills behind learning and daily functioning. It is best suited to complex cases where academic testing alone doesn't explain why a student is struggling. It goes further than a standard psychoeducational evaluation. It looks in depth at attention, executive functioning, memory, language, visual-spatial skills, and social-emotional regulation. Then it connects those findings to the specific reasons a student learns the way they do.
It's especially helpful for sorting out overlapping concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, autism traits, language, or learning disorders. It can also explain uneven performance or interventions that haven't worked. Families and schools come away with clearer diagnoses, a better understanding of why the student struggles, and highly individualized recommendations. This makes it a strong fit for complex or twice-exceptional learners.
